LONDON -- John Terry marked his 400th Premier League appearance with a goal as Chelsea fought back from an early deficit to beat Southampton 3-1 Sunday and move to second in the standings. Dak Prescott Jersey . After a sloppy start that saw Jose Mourinhos team concede a goal just after kickoff, Chelsea recovered in the second half to close the gap to league leader Arsenal to four points. Michael Essiens poor back pass allowed Jay Rodriguez to open the scoring at Stamford Bridge after 13 seconds. Southampton held on until Garry Cahill levelled with a header from close range in the 56th. Terry then put Chelsea in front with a glancing header in the 62nd minute for his 34th Premier League goal before substitute Demba Ba put the game beyond reach. "It was important not to panic and keep the emotional balance," Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said. "We waited for halftime to change the game. The players were fantastic and it was difficult for Southampton. We spoke before the game that with others losing points this was a must-win game." Chelsea built its sixth home win from seven games on an an excellent second-half performance capped with goals from its centre-backs Cahill and Terry, and Bas first Premier League goal of the season. Ba, who hit the post from the corner which led to Cahills equalizer, had replaced Essien at halftime. Chelsea found themselves behind almost immediately after Essien sent the ball over Cahill for Rodriguez to calmly slot home. Southampton keeper Artur Boruc then saved Oscars shot before James Ward-Prowse curled a free kick wide for the Saints as Essien was clearly outpaced and Southampton dominated in midfield. Things changed after halftime as Chelsea gradually took the upper hand and was rewarded when Juan Matas set-piece found Branislav Ivanovic, whose header was redirected by Ba onto the post before Cahill headed the ball in from the rebound. Terry then rose above defenders following a half-cleared corner to send Stamford Bridge into rapture and Ba finally added the third after converting a Ramires cross. "After we got the first goal it was fairly even sided," said Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino. "We are unhappy but there were a number of decisions that did not go our way. The ones you dont see are perhaps more important. There was no doubt that the players will react positively. But lest we forget we were playing Chelsea." Maliek Collins Jersey . Scott Kazmir allowed four hits in seven shutout innings, Michael Brantley hit a two-run homer in a three-run first inning and the Indians maintained their hold on an AL wild-card spot with a 4-1 win over the Houston Astros on Saturday night. Cleveland leads Texas by a half-game for the ALs second wild card. The Indians, who have won eight of their last 10, trail Tampa Bay by a half-game for the wild-card lead. "Theres nothing like that atmosphere," Nick Swisher said. "Weve got to keep winning, but Im telling you, man, when you have fan support like that its so easy to get up for games. Were so happy everybody showed up and everybody had a great time." Swisher, who scored a run, had a hit and walked twice, picked up the tab for a postgame fireworks show. Despite being in the playoff race, Cleveland went into Saturday 14th among AL teams in attendance at 19,317, ahead of only Tampa Bay (18,457), according to STATS. Saturdays crowd of 26,611 was the Indians largest at home since 26,870 watched a game against Minnesota on Aug. 24. "It was really welcome," manager Terry Francona said. "I think players probably appreciate that. There was a little extra energy tonight. This time of year that cant hurt anybody." Swisher and several teammates tossed miniature baseballs into the stands following the game. The Indians passed Texas with Fridays rain-shortened 2-1 win, moving into a wild-card spot for the first time since before play on Aug. 5. Following Sundays series finale, Cleveland hosts the Chicago White Sox for two games before closing the regular season with four games at Minnesota. "As close as we are, we can almost taste it," Kazmir said. "So you want to go out and give it everything youve got." Francona has a simple philosophy when it comes to dealing with a playoff chase. "When we win, were fine, when we lose, you hope," he said. "Its not do or die. Its do, or it hurts." Elite Ezekiel Elliott Dallas Cowboys Womens Road Jersey - #21 Nike NFL White. Houston is three losses from matching the club record set last season. The Astros scored when Chris Carter homered against Joe Smith with two outs in the ninth. Kazmir (9-9) struck out 10 and walked two. He had been 1-5 with a 5.82 ERA in his previous seven starts. He gave up Jonathan Villars single to start the game, then included a double-play grounder from Jose Altuve and didnt allow another runner until a single opening the fifth by Carter, who had three hits. Kazmir, who was pitching for the Sugar Land Skeeters in an independent league last season, has far exceeded the Indians expectations. "This is exciting," Francona said. "Knowing Kaz, the bigger the game, hes not going to shy away from that." "You definitely have to tip your hat to Kazmir tonight," Astros manager Bo Porter said. "He had an explosive fastball and did a tremendous job with his breakaway stuff." Cody Allen relieved following to L.J. Hoes leadoff double in the eighth. Brantleys home run capped Clevelands three-run first inning. Jason Kipnis and Lonnie Chisenhall also drove in runs for Cleveland. Paul Clemens (4-6) allowed four runs in 4 2-3 innings in his fourth start of the season after making 30 appearances out of the bullpen. It was on the 19th of November last year that the Blue Jays pulled off their massive 12-player deal with Miami that was supposed to set the table for a playoff season in 2013. Norichika Aoki Mariners Jersey . Of course it didnt work out that way, but I suppose the point of this is, the deal came right out of nowhere. There were no hot rumours, no build-up. It just happened. This years Winter Meetings are being held from Dec. 9-12 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando. This is the third time the meetings have been held at this facility. The last time was in 2010. Its interesting to look back now at some of the rumours involving the Blue Jays back then and what actually went down. One of the hottest rumours had the Jays offering a package that might have included right hander Kyle Drabek, outfielder Travis Snider and a couple of other prospects to Kansas City for right hander Zach Greinke who was fresh off winning the American League Cy Young Award. There was also talk the Jays were going after Arizona outfielder Justin Upton and even Manny Ramirez. None of those deals came to fruition. Alex Anthopoulos did pull off the first major swap of those meetings though, sending right-hander Shaun Marcum to Milwaukee for Brett Lawrie. Again, though, there were no rumours surrounding that deal. It just happened. Arguably, the Jays most significant deal of that offseason didnt come until the New Year. They sent Vernon Wells and his huge contract to the Angels for catcher/1B/DH Mike Napoli and outfielder Juan Rivera. Four days later they flipped Napoli to Texas in a deal involving closer Frank Francisco. Wells incidently will be heading into the final year of his contract next season. Though Vernon will earn $21 million, the Yankees are only on the hook for $2.4 million of that. According the Baseball Reference.com, the Angels are paying the rest, some $18.6 million. Rumours and Deals There was actually a trade this week, with the Dodgers getting outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker and cash from Boston for outfielder prospect Alex Castellanos. The rumour mill really figures to start heating up at the Owners and GMs meetings running from Nov. 11-13 at Orlando. Usually those meetings are where the ground work is laid for the bigger deals and free agent signings to come through the fall and over the winter. This brings us back to the two big rumours of the past week or so, put out by ESPN contributors. One had the Mets possibly offering right-hander Jon Niese, outfielder prospect Cesar Puello and another prospect for Jose Bautista. The Mets really need a power bat to offer some support for David Wright, and J.P. Ricciardi who now works in the Mets front office acquired Bautista for the Blue Jays in the first place from Pittsburgh. Puello is supposed to be the key in the deal for the Blue Jays. Hes supposedly a top-notch right field prospect who plays the game with boundless hustle. Some have compared him to Yasiel Puig, without the hotdogging. Trouble is Puello was suspended for 50 games for using PEDs in connection with Biogenesis. But again its only another rumour. Another hot one had the Blue Jays being in the thick of the race for Cincinnatis out-of-favour second baseman Brandon Phillips. Though some say he had an offseason and caused some friction for the Reds by comparing his contract to that of Joey Votto and for getting into a beef with a reporter, Phillips is still one of top second basemen in the game. Even in an "off year" he knocked in 103 runs. If new Reds manager Bryan Price moves closer Aroldis Chapman into the starting rotation as has been rumoured, maybe Anthopoulos can offer some of the Blue Jays bullpen depth and a prospect or two for Phillips. But as a cautionary note, Phillips will be 33 next season and is owed $50 million on his contract over the next four years. If the Blue Jays are truly going to go "all-in" again next season, this is the deal that they might actually pursue. Still, its just another one of those rumours you hear this time of year, and most of these rumours as we learned from 2010, dont ever turn into reality. Tampa Bay, Oakland and Pittsburgh are three of the teams that proved this season that you can win with a lower-echelon payroll. But of the final four teams that were alive in the post-season, three were in the top five in money spent, and St. Louis was number 11. Kyle Seager Mariners Jersey . SAN JOSE, Calif. Under Armour Trainers Uk . -- Joe Pavelski was happy with the San Jose Sharks power-play production even if it lacked artistic value. Pavelski scored two power-play goals, and the Sharks ended a four-game losing streak by beating the Minnesota Wild 3-1 on Thursday night. Tomas Hertl also scored on the power play for the Sharks, who earned their first regulation victory at home since Nov. 29. Antti Niemi stopped 28 shots to record his 17th victory. "Its doing better," Pavelski said of the power play. "We found a work ethic. Its not exactly pretty, but we got more shots off and got some pucks back." Jonas Brodin scored for the Wild, who lost their fifth straight on the road. Niklas Backstrom made 36 saves. "Thats not the way you want to start a game," Wild forward Jason Pominville said. "Theyve drawn the most penalties in the league, and they showed it tonight. We put ourselves behind the eight ball, and its tough to come back when teams have leads." Backstrom fell to 1-9-1 in San Jose, and his 3.68 goals-against-average there is his second worst in any arena. The Sharks went 3 for 7 on the power play after going 0 for 4 in a 3-1 loss to the Wild on Sunday. They scored four times in their previous 39 power plays. "We went through a stretch where we were losing some games, and the power play was the reason we werent winning," Sharks centre Logan Couture said. "Now were starting to score some goals, and its good to see." San Jose took a 1-0 lead just 5:54 into the game. Pavelski got the puck from Dan Boyle on the left side and bounced a shot past Backstrom and into the net. "It must be nice to draw penalties like that," Wild coach Mike Yeo said. "The other team goes stick on puck and just kind of holds their head. The first penalty . . . to me, that was embarrassing. I guess we have to ask our players to embellish more." The Sharks added another power-play goal with 5:17 left in the first. Tommy Wingels drove down the right side, drawing the defence toward him, before dropping the puck off for Hertl, who had a clear shot into the net. "This is why Im upset," Yeo said. "Our guys battled hard. We didnt do enough, theres no question. We were in the box too much. We didnt finish well enough. Penalty kills, it doesnt matter how many times they dive or embellish, we have to make sure we kill them off." During their four-game slide, the Sharks gave up a pair of two-goal leads, including Tuesdays shootout loss to the New York Islanders. Pavelski made it 3-0 at 3:42 of the second period on another power play. Matt Irwins shot bounced free, and Pavelski was there to drive it home. "Even 3-0 is not safe," Niemi said. "We had to stay on our toes, get some offence, and play hard on both ends." Joe Thorntons second assist of the game put him in sole possession of 26th place on the NHL career list with 816. "That third goal was big for us," Pavelski said. "It gave us that cushion we havent been able to get lately." Brodin scored with 7:24 remaining to bring the Wild within 3-1. His shot hit Sharks defenceman Brad Stuart and caromed past Niemi. "Obviously, he wasnt trying to do that," Couture said. "It was knuckling and I didnt have my eyes up to see it. We still saw a couple of Niemi highlight saves." Ryan Suter recorded an assist for the second straight game after going the previous eight without one. "Feeling good," Cruz said Tuesday, a day after the boot came off his injured left foot. "Its been better, feels a lot better, a lot of the swelling has gone down. Obviously, looking forward to better days coming." Cruz was sidelined more than a week after hurting his heel in a preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts Aug. 18. He jumped to catch a pass from Eli Manning on the opening series and a defender landed on his foot. Two days later, he used crutches to walk to the podium with his foot in a boot. Cruz missed the third preseason game, vs. the Jets, and will also skip Thursdays exhibition finale at New England. He hopes to practice Monday and play the following weekend. "Absolutely. I knew initially that it was just a small bump in the road and that I just needed some time off to get some down time off the boot and off the foot and get things going the right way," Cruz said. "Dallas was definitely a target date for me and I knew that I had to be ready. I still have some time to recuperate. It feels even better." The only pain he has is getting out of bed. "Theres swelling in the morning when I first put my foot down, thats about it," the Paterson, N.J., native said. He scored one of the two touchdowns the offence has generated this preseason. The offence will improve, Cruz insists. "With the amount of reps that we get, its hard to develop a rhythm," he said. "We just need to get it going a little bit and I think our balance isnt there yet; our balance of running the ball and passing it. Slowly but surely, well get that back. Banks told TSN on Jan 2 that he had no interest in playing out the option year of his contract with the Lions in 2014, and he again made that clear in a conversation with Lions GM Wally Buono last week.NEW YORK – Jonathan Bernier had one thing running through his mind amid an avalanche of shots in what was a wildly tilted second period for the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. "Trying to breathe," he said with a grin. Bernier stopped 42 of 43 shots on Monday night, including all 22 in a hectic middle frame, his heroic performance propelling the Leafs toward an undue point in their final game before the Christmas break. "I thought Bernie stood on his head and gave us a chance to steal another point," said Randy Carlyle after the 2-1 shootout defeat, the teams 10th loss in the past 11 games on the road. Nudging a puck past the pads of rookie Cam Talbot, Nazem Kadri evened the score at one with less than two minutes to play in regulation. His efforts would have been for not if it wasnt for the sterling play of the 25-year-old between the pipes. The Rangers outshot the Leafs 22-5 in a penalty-filled second frame, firing 18 shots in a span of just 12 minutes. "We had a bit of a rough stretch there," Kadri said, "but thats why weve got great goaltenders. We werent worried because we know Bernie can hang in there and make some big stops for us. Obviously weve got to find a way to tone that down, but he gave us a chance to win the game." Toronto goaltending has been that kind of rock through hard times all season, the lone bit of solace amid continued spurts of inconsistency. The bookends of Mondays performance were solid for the Leafs, nearly undone though by a second frame under siege. "Im just trying to keep it close," said Bernier of the experience in the second. "I know were going to score one goal and Im just trying to do my job and go shot by shot." It was the fourth 40-plus save performance for Bernier in 22 starts this season. He now boasts a .929 save percentage on the year, good for seventh-best in the NHL. But the Quebec native wouldnt go so far to say hell stole a point for his team. In fact, he couldnt help but lament the two goals that snuck by in the shootout.  "I didnt steal one," he said. "I didnt get the extra point. When you give up two goals in the shootout most of the time youll lose so Ive got to be better in shootouts." Five Points 1. Bernier Shootout Struggles Bernier dropped to 3-8 lifetime in the shootout and 2-4 this season. His career .500 save percentage is amongst the worst of any active goaltender (tied for 68th in a class of 77). He was beaten on this night by Mats Zuccarello, who flipped a shot over his left shoulder, and Derek Stepan, who potted the eventual winner. "I thought the first two I was a little bit impatient," said Bernier. "Ive got to go get that extra point for my team." 2. Road Woes The road has offered nothing but misery for the Leafs since the start of November. With Mondays shootout defeat, theyve now dropped 10 of the last 11 games away from the ACC (1-6-4), outscored 36-20 in that span. Their lone victory in that stretch came on Dec. 7,, a 4-3 shootout triumph over the Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa. Salomon Chaussures Soldes.   Now 6-8-4, the Leafs have the fourth-worst road mark in the Eastern Conference. 3. Means to Victory Saved often by the efforts of Bernier and James Reimer, the Leafs now sit 13-1-2 on the year when theyve yielded two goals or less. Conversely, their record is just 5-15-3 when theyve allowed three goals or more. 4. Christmas Break "This is the dog days of hockey when you get close to the 40-game mark," said Carlyle. And with a three-day break lying in wait for the holidays, he and the Leafs are just hoping to reset with an increasingly taxing second half ahead. "Its been a real hectic schedule here for the last three weeks, Ill tell you that," Carlyle said of a stretch which saw his team play 12 times in 23 days. "It seems like we play every second day and theres no relaxing time and then theres very limited practice time." With just one regulation victory in the past 18 games, theyll need to find a path towards improvement. "You just cant look at all the negatives," said Kadri, who scored his 11th goal of the year in defeat. "Youve got to look at the positives. I know thats a bit cliché, but its the right thing to do. You also point out the negatives and you go to the chalkboard and you work on it. But I think a few of those games weve played some of our better games of the year and still come out with losses. Thats just how this league works." 5. Lengthy Shift For one stretch in the Rangers dominant second frame, Dion Phaneuf was caught on the ice for a taxing two minutes and 56 seconds. New York fired five shots on goal before Peter Holland was finally whistled for roughing, the first of four penalties for the Leafs in the period. "Not very good," said Phaneuf, asked how he felt during the near-three minute shift. "When you get stuck out that long its tough. "I was trying to change obviously. I wouldve liked to not get stuck out there for that long, but its part of what happens. Sometimes teams are able to hem another team in and thats what happened tonight." Stats-Pack .929 – Save percentage for Jonathan Bernier this season, seventh-best in the NHL. 3-8 – Career record in the shootout for Bernier. 1 – Regulation victory for the Leafs since Nov. 19. 1-6-4 – Leafs record on the road in the past 11 games. 5-4 – Shootout record for the Leafs this season. 13-1-2 – Leafs record when yielding two goals or less this season. Special Teams Capsule PP: 0-4Season: 22.4 per cent (4th) PK: 4-4Season: 78.4 per cent (26th) Quote of the Night "I didnt steal one. I didnt get the extra point. When you give up two goals in the shootout most of the time youll lose so Ive got to be better in shootouts." -Jonathan Bernier, following his 42-save performance. KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Lexi Thompson shot a 5-under 66 Saturday to take a three-shot lead ahead of South Koreas Ilhee Lee after the third round of the LPGA Malaysia. Nike Free 5.0 Heren Zwart . The 18-year-old American had five birdies in her bogey-free round for a 17-under total of 196. Lee held the overnight lead but mixed three birdies with two bogeys for a 70. Suzann Pettersen was another three strokes back after a 67, tied for third with Shanshan Feng of China. Thompson is aiming for her second career tour title and first since the Navistar LPGA Classic in 2011. "I felt really well going into today, I had a good practice session before my round, so I was pretty confident," Thompson said. "Every player wants to go into the final round with a lead." Pettersen has switched golf balls for this week and said shes hitting it longer as a result, but she struggled with her putting all day. "Im playing pretty steady, hitting almost 18 greens, and not making a putt. Its very hard to stay patient," Pettersen said. "Four under is pretty much the worst score I could shoot. Just glad there is one more round tomorrow. Lexi is playing great, so theres definitely a low one needed tomorrow." Swedens Anna Nordqvist had the best round of the day with a 65 to climb from joint 29th to a tie for fifth alongside Karine Icher of France at 204. Nike Air Max 90 Dames Grijs . Jay Feely kicked a 41-yard field goal in overtime, and the Cardinals edged the Tennessee Titans 37-34 in overtime after blowing a 17-point lead late in the fourth quarter. The Barrie Colts defenceman, who impressed many with his play for Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championship, is the top-ranked skater in the February rankings. He has 19 goals and 24 assists for 43 points in 45 games with the Colts this season.TORONTO -- Just because Tim Gleason is happy to be in Toronto doesnt mean hell be wearing a Maple Leafs jersey right away. Gleason, obtained from the Carolina Hurricanes for fellow defenceman John-Michael Liles and a prospect, practised with the Leafs for the first time Friday. But its uncertain if hell play Saturday night against the New York Rangers. "We feel he can make a contribution, and if it starts (Saturday) night or if it starts the next night or the night after, its always nice to have depth in defencemen," coach Randy Carlyle said. "I think its one of those things where youd like the player to get a little bit more familiar with your group, too. "Well see on how we feel he sets up." Gleason was paired with Mark Fraser on Friday. Fraser has been a healthy scratch for Torontos past six games and eight of the last nine. Carlyle provided some mixed signals on whether Gleason might be in the lineup for his size and physicality. "New Yorks got some big forwards in (Rick) Nash and (Brian) Boyle," he said. "Theyre a hockey club that will try to grind it down down-low. So those are all things you take into consideration." Carlyle and his staff must also consider Gleasons quick turnaround after being dealt New Years Day as the Leafs were playing in the Winter Classic. The veteran has a steep learning curve ahead of him. "Theres a lot of information, a lot of system things, kind of like going back to school, so its good," Gleason said. The 30-year-old left-handed shot had just one assist in 17 games for Carolina this season. He knew he was being traded about a week ago and was pulled out of games and practices beginning Dec. 31 against Montreal, so it didnt come as much of a surprise. Gleason, whose final game with the Hurricanes was at Air Canada Centre against the Leafs, also knew to expect more media attention than he got in Raleigh, N.C. "This is totally different from what Im used to. Theres usually two of you," Gleason said with a smile. "This is exciting, and (Im) happy to be a part of this club." The six-foot, 217-pound Gleason figures to fit in better with Carlyles ideal identity than the smaller, quicker Liles, whos more of a puck-mover. "I think Im a physical player," Gleason said. "Thats kind of how Ive earned my spot throughout my career so far, just being physical and being hard to play against and kind of bringing that gritty type of style of play." That gritty style of play is exactly why the Leafs acquired Gleason and his US$4-million cap hit that runs for two more seasons after this one. Unlike Liles, who was made expendable by the growth of Morgan Rielly and Jake Gardiner, Gleason wont be out of place. "I think were asking Tim Gleason to play the way hes accustomed to playing," Carlyle said. "Thats the style of play that hes etched out an NHL career (with), being a strong, physical, defensive defenceman. "We think he has something to offer to our group." Gleason wwill likely have something to offer as long as he can stay healthy. Nike Air Max 2015 Zwart. . He missed time at the start of the season with a concussion and then separate stretches with an upper-body and then a lower-body injury. Asked if he was healthy now, Gleason deemed himself 100 per cent. "Obviously I had some issues prior at the beginning of the year, kind of a setback," he said. "But all good and ready to go and ready to get my game back here." Gleasons challenge in getting his game back has to do with the Leafs carrying eight defencemen. Theyve played eight this season, counting Liles, and at one point had a ninth on the roster in T.J. Brennan, who did not dress. That also could be a bit of a problem for Carlyle when it comes to juggling eight and only being able to play six or sometimes seven at a time. "Its always tough when youre making decisions whether people are in and out of the lineup. It does complicate it," Carlyle said. "But thats a luxury. We always state that when you start the beginning of the year, you think you need nine or 10 to get through the year. This years no different than that. "We just felt that with the way our team is and the way weve played that wed like to add some stiffness on the back end." The Leafs did that in getting Gleason for Liles and 2011 sixth-rounder Dennis Robertson, a defenceman whos playing at Brown University. Gleason had to waive his no-trade clause to make it happen and did so knowing it was a smart, practical move. "Ultimately it was our decision as a family," said Gleason, a veteran of 616 NHL regular-season games. "Youve been (in) a place for eight years, you kind of have friendships outside the hockey, things like that. It plays a big part in life itself. "But I knew as a hockey decision I had to move on, and what a better place to be than Toronto." Gleason arrived on a day temperatures reached -22 C and after snow had fallen across much of the region. That didnt bother the native of Clawson, Mich., which is about 20 minutes outside of Detroit. "Im a Michigander, so its not that far off," Gleason said. "Its in my blood. I tried to shake it for eight years, but I came back and I was used to it." NOTES -- Practice was delayed more than 40 minutes because of accidents on the west-bound section of the Gardiner Expressway. Accidents appeared to involve 10 cars in two separate places, and centre Nazem Kadri got caught up in congestion around Islington. It was unclear which other players were stuck in traffic getting out to the teams practice facility. ... The Leafs will wear their Winter Classic jerseys twice more this season, Jan. 18 against the Canadiens and Feb. 7 against the Canucks. Because of that, goaltender Jonathan Bernier will keep his vintage brown pads around before giving them to charity. ... The NHL said an average of 3.57 million people watched CBCs broadcast of the Winter Classic, which is the most for any non-playoff game in Canadian broadcast history. GREEN BAY, Wis. Carl Yastrzemski Red Sox Jersey . -- Its easy to spot Clay Matthews at Packers practice, with his long blond hair protruding from his helmet and on to his neck and shoulders. When the veterans are getting a break, the pass-rushing outside linebacker can often be found taking a breather next to A.J. Hawk, the durable inside linebacker. After some doubt, theyll be together again this weekend to face the Detroit Lions. The Packers bye week did wonders for Matthews and his sore hamstring. "Well I mean we obviously had the bye week, which helped out as far as" getting healthy, Matthews said Thursday. "It was a fortuitous bye week, Ill say that." The TV commercial star and the eight-year veteran. The energized Matthews, in his fifth season, and the well-spoken, blue-collar Hawk. Mainstays of the Packers starting linebacking corps since 2009. So many games against NFC North foes like the Lions, it must make playing them seem like second nature. Wrong, said Hawk. Especially with Reggie Bush in the mix now in Detroit to join receiver Calvin Johnson to give opposing defences headaches. "And the truth is, Ive been part of a lot of games like that. You go in with all these things that you think are 100 per cent, and they can change in division games," Hawk said. "I need these days leading up to every game. I need every rep I can get because were working on so many different looks and so many different things." Sounds like sage comments a grizzled veteran would say. Hawk agreed to a pay cut in the off-season, not worried about outside perception of the deal. Hawk has also taken heat from fans about perhaps being a step slow, or not making enough big plays. But he does make tackles -- 28 this year, second behind Brad Jones, and a team-high 145 last season. Hes also durable, having played in 123 of a possible 125 games while in Green Bay. Its all in the preparation, Hawk said, at least until Sunday. "I have little tips in the back of my head that Ive written down all week," he said. "But I know once Im out there, we just need to run around and make plays." Which is exactly what Matthews is known for, becoming one of the leagues most popular defensive players. His No. 52 jerseys might be outnumbered in the Lambeau Field stands only by the No. 12 jerseys for Aaron Rodgers among current players. When hes on the field, Matthews fires up the crowd and his teammates. When hes on the sideline with a hamstring injury, like when he was knocked out of the Bengals game two weeks ago, it gives the green-and-gold fans a scare. Matthews missed four games last season with a hamstring problem. He quickly reminded reporters Thursday that when he returned, Dec. 16 at Chicago, he had two sacks. "The first part of getting over a hamstring strain is healing, and obviously I cant control that," Matthews said. "But coming back, the final hurdle you have to overcome is mentally are you comfortable with exerting 100 per cent effort or even more so. I wouldnt put myself out there if I wasnt." In his fifth season in the league, Matthews still possesses the wide-eyed eagerness of a rookie. But that experience is building up in his brain, beneath those trademark locks, especially when it comes to dealing with his hamstring. Matthews was playing well with two forced fumbles and a sack against Cincinnati before departing. It was a joint decision with medical staff and coaches. "I just told them where I was at and how I felt and moving forward what the smart thing would be," Matthews said. "At that point in the game, with that lead, too, I felt like it was the wise decision." The Packers went on to cough up their 16-point lead. But its a long season. After the early bye, the Packers will have to play 13 straight weeks. "I think Ive become a lot smarter. Obviously a younger player would have kind have pressed the issue, maybe hurt himself even more so," Matthews said. Now its official. The Angels beat Seattle 6-5 Saturday night for their 21st victory in 28 games, but this surge came way too late. Earlier in the day, they were mathematically eliminated from post-season contention. After starting the year with big expectations, boosted by the winter signing of former MVP Josh Hamilton, the injury-plagued Angels didnt spend one day atop the AL West after winning their season opener at Cincinnati. The Angels have been no fewer than nine games out of first place since the All-Star break. This is their fourth straight year without a post-season berth, after winning five division titles. "I think the one word that still lingers out of all this clubhouse and how we all feel is certainly frustration," manager Mike Scioscia said. "I dont think theres been any way to sugarcoat it. Its obviously not a good feeling when you dont accomplish your goal. "Theres been some nonperformance on our club, some injuries and some depth issues. But I think weve gone a long way in the past month to show the kind of baseball we can play, particularly on the pitching side. Hopefully well temper that frustration and finish strong," he said. Collin Cowgill homered and also stole home for the Angels. Rookie Grant Green hit a three-run double to help Jerome Williams win his fourth straight start. Cowgill walked and scored in the second inning and hit a solo homer in the fourth. He tripled to open the seventh, then broke for the plate as Andrew Romine squared around to try a suicide-squeeze bunt, and scored when left-hander Joe Saunders pitch sailed to the backstop. Williams (9-10) allowed one run, five hits and five walks in 5 2-3 innings. He left after No. 9 hitter Henry Blanco snapped an 0-for-32 drought with a bloop single. I read his book when I was in high school, and he was the greatest hitter that ever lived." The new-look Toronto Raptors wont have their new faces in the lineup Tuesday night when they welcome the San Antonio Spurs to the Air Canada Centre. Ua Speedform Apollo Vent Mens . Listen to the game live on TSN Radio 1050 at 7pm et. The Raptors traded Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray to the Sacramento Kings on Monday, in exchange for Greivis Vasquez, John Salmons, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes. "I honestly want to think Rudy, Quincy and Aaron for their time here," said Raptors General Manager Masai Ujiri. "I think those guys are super professional. It sounds cliche, but Rudy was a great person to work with. Phenomenal, talented player, but it just wasnt working." Gay was averaging 19.4 ppg and 7.4 rpg, but shooting only 39 percent from the field. Money was certainly a factor in the deal as well since Gay has a player option next season for over $19 million. The Raptors may not be done making moves as Kyle Lowrys name has been featured in trade reports. He becomes slightly more expendable now with Vasquez in town. "I never want to say theres nobody," said Ujiri. "I dont want to call out names. If somebody offers us Michael Jordan, am I going to say no? You never know whats going to come your way." The Raptors return home after a 1-2 trip out west. The lone victory came Sunday night when Toronto, which didnt have the three newest Kings in uniform, spoiled Kobe Bryants season debut. The Raptors beat the Lakers, 106-94. Amir Johnson was dominant with 32 points and 10 rebounds, while DeMar DeRozan scored 26 and Lowry finished with 23. Terrence Ross, who should see an increased role at small forward, managed 11 off the bench. The Spurs set out on a two-game trip as they will visit Milwaukee on Wednesday. Center Tiago Splitter didnt make the trip due to a left calf injury. Last time out for San Antonio, the Indiana Pacers came to Alamo City Saturday night and left with a 111-100 victory. The Spurs built an eight-point lead after the first quarter, but the Pacers dominated the middle two frames to the tune of a 67-30 scoring disparity. "In the second quarter, they started making some shots and we werent able to keep up. We went cold, they got that lead, and we couldnt recover," Spurs forward Tim Duncan said. Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 18 points, followed by 16 from Manu Ginobili. Tony Parker chipped in 13, Duncan and Patty Mills both scored 10 points. The Spurs have won five straight against the Raptors and three in a row in Toronto. Under Armour Speedform Gemini Uk . Brandon Morrow allowed five runs on six hits over three innings. Organizers poked a little fun at the now-infamous opening ceremony gaffe that saw only four out of five snowflakes open up into rings, leaving the Olympics logo one ring short.MIAMI -- LeBron James was even more efficient than usual, which says plenty. Dwayne Wade attacked early, distributed late and capped his night with a pair of cartwheels. Yep, its going pretty good for the Miami Heat these days. James scored 35 points on only 14 shots, Wade added 21 points and 12 assists and the Heat won their seventh straight game, beating the Phoenix Suns 107-92 on Monday night. "The 12 assists was all my teammates, catching the ball, finishing," Wade said after his highest assist total since March 22, 2010. "And the cartwheels were all me." The cartwheels -- a nod to Wades youngest son Zion, who does his gymnast act all over the familys home these days -- were pre-planned, the latest "video bomb" where the Heat find a way to disrupt someones postgame on-court interview. Its about the only way James can be thrown off at this point. He made 11 of 14 shots from the field, shot 11 for 11 from the foul line for the second time in a week -- after doing that or better only four times in his first 10 NBA seasons -- and capped his night with a trio of fadeaway jumpers that left him wondering why the Suns werent double-teaming him. "Im in a very, very comfortable position right now with my game," said James, whos shooting 61 per cent this season and became the first player this season to score more than 30 points while taking less than 15 shots. Ray Allen scored 17 points and Chris Andersen added an 11-point, seven-rebound night for the Heat, who have won 10 of 11 since their 1-2 start. Channing Frye led a balanced attack with 16 points for the Suns, who have dropped five of their last seven. Goran Dragic scored 14, Marcus Morris had 13, Markieff Morris and Gerald Green each added 12 and PJ Tucker finished with 10 for Phoenix. "We were playing pretty decently for a while," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. "We just couldnt make any shots. The third game of a fourth night might have started to get us. We were open and we couldnt make them. ... To beat this team -- theyre a great team -- you have to make those shots." Coming into Monday, they and the Suns were the only NBA teams who hadnt been handed a double-digit loss. Phoenix cant say that any longer, after falling to the Heat for a seventh straight time. Phoenixs six losses before Monday were by a total of 27 points, and this one was close until the early portion of the fourth quarter when Miami found a way to pull away -- while James was getting another extended fourth-quarter rest, something Miamis had the luxury of doing often in recent games. Under Armour Trainers Uk. A 22-second flurry was all it really took. Allen made a 3-pointer off an assist from Wade, Roger Mason Jr. stole the ball from Phoenixs Archie Goodwin, and Wade set Allen up for another 3 with 9:56 left. "Thats the beauty of our team," Wade said. With that, the lead was 87-73, the outcome pretty much decided. A trio of fadeaway jumpers by James late in the game -- the first two swishing, the third one rattling off the rim a bit before falling -- helped keep the Suns at bay. Both teams were without their starting point guards. Mario Chalmers (strained hip flexor) was held out by Miami, and Eric Bledsoe (sore left shin) missed his fifth straight game for the Suns. There was minimal separation between the teams in the opening 24 minutes, with a 3-pointer by James with 0.6 seconds left before the break serving as the difference as Miami took a 50-47 lead into halftime. Miamis lead was only 73-71 with 2:35 left in the third quarter when Marcus Morris took a pass from Markieff Morris and made a 3-pointer. For whatever reason, thats when the Heat found their best groove. James scored the first four points of what became a quick 8-0 run for the Heat, giving Miami an 81-71 lead. And that little burst was enough; the Suns werent within eight points the rest of the way. "We fought," Frye said. "Theyre a veteran team -- theyve been playing together for three, four years now, some of them longer than that. They know where theyre supposed to be. They know what plays work. And they have a couple of closers there at the end." NOTES: Andy Garcia, Macklemore and Flo Rida were in attendance. ... SUNRISE, Fla. Matt Harvey Youth Jersey . -- Michael Yormark resigned as president and CEO of the Florida Panthers on Monday, taking a job with rap mogul Jay Zs Roc Nation and setting off a front-office shake-up for the long-struggling franchise. Yormark said he has accepted a job as president and chief of branding and strategy for Roc Nation, Jay Zs sports agency. The Panthers promoted Rory Babich into the jobs that Yormark had held with the organization, and announced that general manager Dale Tallon was having his responsibilities expanded to also include business operations. "While we are sorry to see Michael leave, he has received an offer for a tremendous opportunity and we are fortunate that we will be able to continue working with him in his new role," said Panthers owner Vincent Viola, who bought the team in September. "Rory has been working with us throughout our acquisition of the team and has been partnering with Michael on the business side and Dale on the hockey side since he joined us." Babich and Tallon also will be alternate governors for the team. "Dale and I, together, will be partnering on all aspects of our business," Babich said. Yormark joined Sunrise Sports and Entertainment as its Chief Operating Officer in September 2003, was promoted to president in August 2007 and then to president and CEO of the team and SSE last September. Yormark said he still believes the Panthers, under Violas leadership, will get to the level the franchise has sought to reach for years. The Panthers have reached the playoffs only once since 2000, and are well out of post-season contention this year. "Roc Nation represents a wonderful new adventure for my family and me, and I am thrilled to join an exciting, innovative organization," Yormark said in a statement released Monday afternoon. "Roc Nation is poised to grow in to one of the most influential companies in the industry and I am looking forward to taking on this new challenge." Babich grew up in the New York area, the son of a sports writer, and said hes loved hockey since childhood. He joined the Panthers after Viola bought the team, and said his role as CEO will simply continue Violas vision to build a winner in South Florida. "Its an exciting time for us," Tallon said. "Rory and I have been together since December. Weve developed a close relationship in a short period of time. ... Were excited about what were going to do, how were going to do this and were going to work together to bring a Stanley Cup to the Panthers and their fans." Friends and former teammates are happy hes made it back to the NFLs biggest stage, and the general public is excited to see if No. 18 can win a second Super Bowl ring this weekend, too. Many in this town just wished this incredible season had come in Colts blue rather than Broncos orange. "I think as fans of Peyton, people hoped he would stay with the same team and finish it out," said Jeff Saturday, Mannings longtime centre. "But that wasnt possible. Peyton wanted to still play. The Colts released him and that happens in our business. As a player, you have to move on to the next team and hes done what hes supposed to do." Hes continued to win at a record-breaking rate. Many in Indy never doubted Manning would continue to play at this high level — if he could get healthy. But after missing the entire 2011 season to recover from a damaged nerve in his neck and facing a salary cap dilemma, Colts owner Jim Irsay made the toughest decision of his career — cutting ties with Manning and using the No. 1 draft pick to begin anew. Immediate reactions in Indy were mixed when Irsay tearfully tried to explain he wanted Manning to have another shot at the Super Bowl before his career ended, while the Colts were attempting to remain a Super Bowl contender for the next decade with a completely new cast. So far, so good. Since drafting Andrew Luck, the Colts have posted back-to-back 11-win seasons and reached the playoffs twice. Manning, meanwhile, has posted two straight 13-win seasons, just completed perhaps the greatest regular season by any quarterback in league history and will make his third Super Bowl start Sunday in New York. Indy fans arent surprised by Mannings success, especially after watching him turn this basketball bastion into a football-friendly town. "I think everyone is pulling for him," said Joe Gray, a 59-year-old Colts season ticket holder who was impresssed by the standing ovation Manning got when he returned to Lucas Oil Stadium in October. Matt Harvey Cream Jersey. "Im not saying I dont like Luck, I just wish Peyton was still here." Grey finds himself in a crowded group. Even longtime friends, such as Saturday and former linebacker Gary Brackett, acknowledge it was tough to see Manning leave, though theyre happy to see him playing well. Some Indy football fans say they cheer for Manning first and the Colts second, which may explain why so many orange No. 18 jerseys — or some variation of them — have been seen around town the last two years. Manning has remained close to the community, too, returning each of the last two springs to host fundraisers for the childrens hospital that bears his name. On Sunday, the Peyton Manning Childrens Hospital at St.Vincent is even planning a Super Bowl viewing party for patients and their families. "We are fortunate to partner with a selfless individual who has given his time and resources off the field for the betterment of children and our overall community," said Vince Caponi, executive chairman of the hospitals board. "Peyton has the highest respect for our health ministry, and values his time spent with its pediatric patients." But to those who know Manning best, this goes far deeper than rooting for an ex-teammate. "My career is over, so now I can sit back and cheer for the guys I respect and hes definitely on top of that list," said Brackett, who served as Indys defensive captain while Manning was the offensive captain. Saturday concurs. "Hes a friend, so Im always pulling for him that way. But to see a guy coming back from all the neck surgeries hes had, at 37, going to another team, going to a Super Bowl, its fun to watch," Saturday said. "Peyton Manning was everything youd want our of a franchise quarterback while he was in Indy. He won the way you wanted to win. It was exactly what you wanted out of a franchise quarterback." BOSTON -- After one of the best programs of a career that already includes three national titles, Jeremy Abbott nearly did a pratfall. Andy Pettitte Jersey . He would have been entitled following a spotless performance highlighted by three picture-perfect jumps, smooth spins and almost celebratory footwork in a short program victory Friday night at the U.S. Championships. Coming out of his final move, his excitement overtook him and Abbott lost his balance. And when he saw his U.S. record points total, 99.86, a look of amazement dominated the 28-year-old veterans face. "I went through all my history here," Abbott said. "I tried to live all of it but stay in the moment and just enjoy what I was doing, each crossover, each step. I really did that. This is a night Im never going to forget." Abbott has built a reputation as a strong domestic skater, winning nationals in 2009, 2010 and 2012. Yes, he was the top dog from the United States heading into the Vancouver Games, where countryman Evan Lysacek won gold while Abbott finished ninth. That was one of many disappointments on the international stage for Abbott, including an eighth and two 11th-place showings at worlds. He failed to make the U.S. team for worlds last year. With another routine like his short program here, though, hell be Americas No. 1 contender at the Sochi Olympics. "I have a toe maybe over the threshold of the jetway," Abbott said. Hes competing at his final national championships. "I wanted to take in all the energy and all the excitement and just really live in it, because its never happening again," Abbott said. Abbott held the previous U.S. mark for a short program, 90.23 at the 2012 nationals. He shattered that, building a lead of 7.82 points over Richard Dornbush. Jason Brown was third heading into Sundays free skate. Dornbush, 22, has struggled since coming in second at 2011 nationals and didnt even compete in the Grand Prix series this season. But he was spectacular from the get-go Friday night, landing a perfect quad and triple axel that had the fans entranced. By the time his 2 1/2-minute program was done, the crowd was on its feet, Dornbush was on his knees throwing an imaginary punch through the air and celebrating a career best. "Im not sure any thoughts went through my head," he said. "I was pretty excited, pretty pumped." And he was only the second skater of the night. "I always seem to be early, so maybe I was in my comfort zone," he said. So was Brown in a smokin skate to Princes "The Question of U" -- he even wore a black and purple costume embellished with rhinestones around his neck, and down his back and side, plus Princes "love symbol" on the back. He nailed a triple axel and a triple flip-triple toe loop with gorgeous flow to open the program. He added a lutz with both hands above his head, footwork that meshed with every element and with every nuance of the music, and speedy spins that had the crowd roaring. "Everyone has such a good chance to make the team," said Brown, who just turned 19. "It really pushes all of us to work as hard as you can." Defending champion Max Aaron was fourth, one of five skaters to land a clean quad. "Im looking forward to everyone skating well," Aaron said of the free skate, which he won in 2013. "I want to send the best men, and thats what Im here for." Earlier, Meryl Davis and Charlie White danced within range of their sixth straight U.S. title by romping in the short dance. Indeed, the current world champions and 2010 Olympic silver medallists could have danced all night and never been caught. Skating to selections from "My Fair Lady," Davis and White broke their own record with 80.69 points to build more than a seven-point lead on Madison Chock and Evan Bates. Siblings Maia and Alex Shibutani were third; three teams will go to Sochi. "This is the first time we felt comfortable enough to let things happen naturally," Davis said. "This is the fifth time were competing the program. With this program, its all about being comfortable enough to let things happen naturally, and when you reach a point where it can be just fun, thats what we really enjoy about skating." Coach Marina Zoueva had wanted them to skate to this music for several years. "As we have grown with the program, we fell in love with the program and what it means ... that exuberant joy," Davis said. Chock and Bates posted a career-high 73.41. Chock fell in practice Wednesday, crashing hard into the boards, but said she was fine other than a little soreness in her shoulders. She even joked that the boards took the biggest hit. Bryant made the gesture while celebrating a 2-yard touchdown catch from Tony Romo for the first Dallas score in a 31-7 victory against the Rams on Sunday. CLEVELAND - The Phoenix Suns pulled off a memorable comeback. Cheap Under Armour Uk . For the Cleveland Cavaliers, it was a collapse they wont soon forget. The Suns, who looked as though they were about to get run out of the building, rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit by dominating the final two quarters for a 99-90 win Sunday night. "We were getting embarrassed," said Markieff Morris, who led Phoenix with 27 points. "Everybody knew it. Thats why we said if we were going to lose, we were going to go down fighting." Cleveland coach Mike Brown had a simple assessment of his teams meltdown. "It was hard to watch," he said. "Its disappointing we came out and played that way, and we should all feel embarrassed for the way we played in the second half." The Suns held Cleveland to six points in the third quarter and outscored the Cavaliers 56-29 in the second half. Channing Frye finished with 16 points, including four 3-pointers after halftime, and Goran Dragic scored 15 to help Phoenix rally on the first stop of a four-game road trip. "We were so, so bad in the first half, but at least everyone knew how bad we were," said Suns forward P.J. Tucker, who had 13 points and 10 rebounds. "When we were down, everyone was like, Were good. Thats the kind of faith we have in our team, but we cant keep doing this." The Cavaliers, who led by 20 late in the second quarter, fell to 1-3 on a five-game homestand considered crucial to their chances of staying in the Eastern Conference playoff race. "They outworked us in the second half, simply put," said All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who led Cleveland with 24 points. Cavaliers centre Anderson Varejao injured his left leg late in the fourth quarter. He was down on the court for several minutes, but remained in the game. Varejao, who has battled injuries the last three seasons, will be checked by the teams medical staff on Monday. "I was worried," Brown said. "His knee was bothering him a little bit. It was tough to see." Phoenix trailed 61-43 at halftime, but hit five 3-pointers in the third quarter. Tucker scored on an offensive rebound with 45 seconds left to put Phoenix ahead 68-67, its first lead since 9-6 just 4 minutes into the game. The Cavaliers were 2 of 22 from the field in the third and set a season low for points in a quarter. Clevelands 29 points after halftime marked a season worst for a half. "I got on their case at halftime because we didnt give effort in the first half," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. "It was the defence that did it. We got stops and that started it. Then all of a sudden, the other team was back on their heels." The Suns broke away from a 70-all tie with 11 straight points early in the fourth. Leandro Barbosas free throw put Phoenix ahead for good. Morris scored six points in the run before Barbosas steal and layup made it 81-70 with 8:38 remaining. Irvings two free throws with 2:06 to play cut it to 88-85. The teams traded baskets before Fryes 3-pointer made it 93-87 with 1:14 remaining. Phoenix shot just 39 per cent in the first half, when its starters combined for 24 points. Morris scored 15 off the bench. The Suns came out firing in the third quarter, forcing Cleveland to call timeout twice in the first 5 minutes. Frye hit 3s on three straight possessions, Gerald Green added a 3-pointer and a jumper, and a 3 by Dragic helped cut the lead to 65-61. Phoenix trimmed the lead to two on two occasions. Ish Smiths free throw with 1:13 remaining made it 67-66 before Tucker put the Suns ahead. Cleveland ended the second quarter on a 22-10 run sparked by Luol Dengs 10 points and six by Irving. The Cavaliers led 39-33 with 7:39 remaining in the period when Deng hit two jumpers, a layup and four free throws. He also found Jarrett Jack in the corner for a 3-pointer with a pass from the top of the key. Irving added a pair of jumpers and two foul shots. Irving had 13 points and seven assists in the first half. The third-year guard, elected an All-Star starter for the first time last week, had six assists in the first quarter, including Clevelands first four baskets of the game. Deng had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists in the first half. The Suns opened a road trip in which they will play four games in five nights. Phoenix went 1-4 on a trip earlier this month. Talks between David Braley and MLSE have heated up in recent months to the point that the MLSE board, which includes Tanenbaum as well as representatives from Bell and Rogers, was asked to vote during December on acquiring the CFL team. While the board could not agree on the matter, there remains the possibility that MLSE could revisit buying the team or that Tanenbaum himself may purchase it. An Argo purchase by MLSE or Tanenbaum makes potential sense from both ends of the deal. From the Argos perspective, the team is in desperate need of a new practice facility, having been told by the University of Toronto that its Mississauga campus can no longer house the football team. With three months until the opening of CFL training camps, a sale would presumably open the door to the Argos taking up residence at the KIA Training Ground, the practice home of Toronto FC which includes three full-size grass fields, four artificial fields and a 40,000 square foot field house in Downsview. Being sold to Tanenbaum or MLSE would make the Argos part of the plan for a redesigned BMO Field, thus solving their need to build a new home from scratch when they vacate Rogers Centre after the 2017 season. MLSE president and CEO Tim Leiweke has stated several times in recent months that the Argos could factor into future plans at BMO, a position in stark contrast to that of his predecessors, who saw the facility as soccer-only. From the perspective of Tanenbaum or MLSE, owning the Argos could be a chip towards the goal of securing a National Football League team, based on the NFL wanting assurance that moving a team to Toronto would nott kill the Argos or the CFL. Under Armour Speedform Gemini Sale. "(Tanenbaum) has always had an affection for them," said former MLSE president and CEO Richard Peddie. "Everything Im hearing is that that the NFL is telling them that if you want an NFL team, you better make sure the Argos are okay. I dont think its out of the realm that he may do it." As well, having the Argos as a second tenant at BMO Field could help MLSEs drive to secure investment from government to redevelop the stadium, which is a publicly-owned facility operated by MLSE exclusively for soccer at this time. "Ive got to believe that theyre thinking of the Argos in that facility," said Peddie. "Can you design a stadium with moveable sections and not lose the intimacy? Yes, you probably can." The Argonauts are currently owned by Hamilton businessman David Braley, who has been exploring options for a new stadium in the Greater Toronto Area in recent months.Though the Argonauts have consistently lost money at Rogers Centre, it is believed their business model could continue to improve with the right arrangement at BMO, combined with increased revenues from the CFLs new television deal which kicks in this season. This isnt the first time MLSE has looked at a potential Argo purchase. The Argos had been offered up to MLSE when the team was owned by David Cynamon and Howard Sololowski, who sold to David Braley in February of 2010. However, the ownership of MLSE and many of the dynamics within the citys professional sports scene have changed since those days, most notably with Liewekes arrival and the notion of trying to land an NFL team.In November, reports surfaced of Tanenbaum, Lieweke and rock star Jon Bon Jovi teaming up to pursue a future relocation of the Buffalo Bills to Toronto. DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki says he wasnt thinking about the last time the Dallas Mavericks blew a 30-point lead and lost. Nike Air Max 2015 Zwart . The biggest collapse in franchise history was a long time ago, and he was too busy trying to make sure it didnt happen again. Nowitzki scored 22 points, Devin Harris hit the go-ahead shot in the final minute and the Mavericks rallied in the fourth quarter after blowing their huge first-half lead, beating the Portland Trail Blazers 103-98 Friday night. "Youre just out there battling," Nowitzki said. "Theyre a very, very good team. They came back a lot quicker than we wanted it to be, but we kept fighting and got the win." LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 30 for Portland, including 18 in the third quarter when the Blazers went in front for the first time at 69-67 after trailing 44-14 early in the second quarter. But Nowitzki didnt pause to remember Dec. 6, 2002, when the Mavericks lost at the Los Angeles Lakers 105-103 after leading 66-36 early in the third quarter. Rick Carlisle wasnt dwelling on the blown lead either. "How many whatever-point leads have we blown this year?" the Dallas coach said. "Theres been tons of them. Weve got to work to prevent it. Theres no harder way to do it than what happened tonight." The score was tied 98-all when Aldridge missed a shot from the lane and Harris won the scramble for the rebound. He dribbled the length of the floor and hit a leaning shot on the baseline and was fouled by Damian Lillard with 24 seconds left. "He busted my mouth open, so I knew I wasnt all the way in front of him," Lillard said. "But I figured since that was the second time that he dipped his head into my face, I figured they would call offensive foul. We still had a couple opportunities after that that we didnt take advantage of." After Harris free throw put Dallas up by three, Aldridges pass went over Lillards head out of bounds. Monta Ellis missed two free throws, but Vince Carter slipped between a pair of Portland players for the offensive rebound and was fouled. Carter made both free throws, and Ellis had a steal to seal a wild win that snapped the Mavericks season-high three-game losing streak. "I had some big miscues down the stretch," said Aldridge, who had 17 rebounds. "I missed some shots down the stretch. Fighting all the way back, being up and having the opportunity to win and not taking care of business." Dallas took its first 30-point lead at 40-10 on Brandan Wrights alley-oop dunk from Ellis early in the second quarter, one of many easy breakaway baskets early. Thomas Robinson had six points on a 12-1 run that started Portlands comeback, getting the Blazers within 19. That was Dallas margin to begin the third quarter, when Aldridge took over, scoring six straight early in the period and another six straight later. The Blazers, who led by 38 in a blowout win over the Mavericks the last time they were in Dallas in January, wiped out the last of the deficit on a 3-pointer by Wesley Matthews to knot it 67-all with 4:02 left in the third. The Blazers went ahead for the first time at 69-67 on a putback by Aldridge. "It was unbelievable," Wright said. "We got outscored by I dont know how much after that first quarter being up 40-10. They went on a heck of a run, but all its going to say in the paper tomorrow is that we got the W." The lead changed hands three more times late in the third, setting up a back-and-forth battle in the fourth. Portland pushed out to an 85-78 lead on another 3 from Matthews, who had 26 points, and a jumper from Mo Williams, but Harris hit a 3-pointer to finish an 8-0 Dallas run for a 90-89 lead. The Blazers went back up 98-92 on an alley-oop dunk by Aldridge, but Dallas pulled even when Sam Dalembert stole the ball from Lillard and tossed to Ellis for a breakaway layup. Jose Calderon had 19 for Dallas, including 15 in the first quarter. Ellis had 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Nowitzki had six assists and five rebounds. Harris finished with 12 points. The difference on Saturday night was that the Aggies defence was solid, too. Johnny Manziel accounted for 346 yards with three touchdowns in just more than a half to help Texas A&M cruise to a 42-13 win over SMU. Texas A&M (3-1) was up 32-6 at halftime, and Manziel led the Aggies to a touchdown on their first drive of the third quarter before the Heisman Trophy winner went to the bench. The defence, which struggled as it dealt with suspensions early this season, had given up 36 points a game through the first three games. Defensive co-ordinator Mark Snyder made some personnel changes this week to help the Aggies improve. "Weve still got some areas weve got to work on, but a much better game from our side of the ball," Snyder said. "Were still a work in progress, for sure, but as long as I keep seeing improvement each week I think well be fine." It was a nice bounce-back game for Texas A&M after falling to top-ranked Alabama 49-42 last week. "I think we learned some valuable lessons a week ago," A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said. "I think we can get a little bit more confidence coming out of this game with our defence." Manziel had 244 yards passing with a touchdown and ran for 102 yards and two more scores. "We tried a little of everything," SMU coach June Jones said of trying to slow Manziel. "Hes an amazing player. You blitz him and hes accurate with the ball. You rush three, and he can scramble around and make it last forever. Hes a great college football player and hes in the perfect system." The Aggies have scored at least 40 points in each of their first four games for the first time in school history. Deshazor Everett returned a fumble 12 yards for a touchdown, and Ben Malena ran for 71 yards and two scores. He got things going for A&M with a 3-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Former Texas quarterback Garrett Gilbert threw for 310 yards and a touchdown with an intterception for SMU (1-2). Nike Free 5.0 Heren Zwart. Despite the lopsided score, Texas A&Ms performance was far from flawless. The Aggies missed three straight PATs in the second quarter and were penalized 13 times for 114 yards. The Mustangs didnt play any cleaner, and piled up 16 penalties for 111 yards. The Aggies took a 14-0 lead when Manziel sidestepped a defender before high-stepping over another one en route to the end zone on a 7-yard run later in the first. Texas A&M recovered an onside kick and was driving again when a pass by Manziel was deflected and intercepted by Hayden Greenbauer. The Mustangs cut the lead to 14-3 when the ensuing drive resulted in a 42-yard field goal by Chase Hover. Manziel rolled out and found Malcome Kennedy on a 16-yard touchdown pass that extended the lead to 20-3 early in the second quarter. Taylor Bertolets kick failed. Manziels second 7-yard touchdown run made it 32-3 just more than three minutes later, but Bertolet missed again. Jeremiah Gaines fumbled after a reception on the first play of SMUs next drive, and Everett scooped it up and returned it for the score. Sumlin had seen enough of Bertolet and brought in Josh Lambo to attempt the PAT. But holder Drew Kaser fumbled the snap, and the kick was blocked. Sumlin said Bertolet and Lambo will compete for the job. A 47-yard field goal by Hover as time expired in the second quarter left A&M up 32-6 at halftime. Manziel had a nifty run on A&Ms first possession after halftime. He evaded three defenders that had hands on him to dash down the sideline on a 20-yard run. Malenas 1-yard run two plays later -- and a made extra point by Lambo -- made it 39-6. He was replaced by Matt Joeckel, who started A&Ms opener while Manziel served an NCAA suspension. Joeckel threw for 63 yards before Sumlin brought in freshman Kenny Hill. Lambos 40-yard field goal extended A&Ms lead to 42-6 near the end of the third quarter. A 31-yard touchdown reception by Keenan Holman made it 42-13 early in the fourth quarter. Holman finished with 10 receptions for 133 yards. PHILADELPHIA -- Once LeSean McCoy put his head down and ran straight ahead instead of juking and jiving, no one could stop him. Chaussure Salomon Promo . McCoy ran for a franchise-best 217 yards, including touchdowns of 57 and 40 yards, and the Philadelphia Eagles overcame two TD returns by Jeremy Ross to beat the Detroit Lions 34-20 in a blizzard Sunday. "It was tough, to be honest," McCoy said. "But the guys were giving me so much room. I actually like to run in between the tackles." Ross returned a punt 58 yards for a score and ran a kickoff 98 yards. But McCoy ran 57 yards up the middle for a tying TD, and Nick Foles connected with Riley Cooper on the 2-point conversion. Foles sneaked in from the 1 and Chris Polk had a 38-yard touchdown run to cap a 28-point fourth quarter for the Eagles (8-5). Snow began falling two hours before kickoff and intensified after the game started. Workers used shovels and hand-held blowers to clear off yard lines. Conditions were so poor neither team tried a field goal, and there were 2-point conversion attempts after seven of the eight TDs. "We just felt footing was so bad," Eagles coach Chip Kelly said. The Eagles, looking to go worst-to-first in the NFC East, won their fifth straight game and took over sole possession of first place. Dallas can make it a tie for the top spot with a victory at Chicago on Monday night. The Lions (7-6) have a half-game lead over the Bears in the NFC North. Forecasters predicted only some snow, so neither team was prepared for a storm that dropped up to six inches in Philadelphia. The Lions lost running back Reggie Bush when he fell on the slippery field during warmups and re-injured his calf. Matthew Stafford fumbled three snaps in the first quarter and had a costly turnover in the fourth. Joique Bell lost two fumbles inside the red zone in the first half. "Its not the same as a sunny day, thats for sure. But youve got to make adjustments," Stafford said. McCoy ran for 148 yards in the fourth quarter, and broke Hall of Famer Steve Van Burens mark of 205 yards rushing against Pittsburgh on Nov. 27, 1949. "He was dominant," McCoy said. "It means a lot." The Eagles finished with 299 yards rushing against a defence that didnt allow a TD on the ground in the previous eight games and came in allowing the third-fewest yards rushing per game (82.7). "The first half we stopped the inside run and forced them to go sideways. In the second half, we allowed them to run inside and that was the difference," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said. "Just about all those runs started off inside, even though some of them broke off outside." Foles threw his first interception, leaving him one shy of matching Peyton Mannings record for most touchdowns without a pick to start the season. Foles had 19 touchdowns before Chris Houston grabbed his overthrown pass at midfield and returned it 20 yards to the Eagles 30. That ended Foles franchise-best streak of 237 passes without a pick. He finished 11 of 22 for 179 yards and a TD. "You were seeing a lot of white, a lot of snow falling down," Foles said. "We got more comfortable as the game went on." Bell ran in from the 2 and caught Staffords pass on the 2 -point conversion for an 8-0 halftime lead. After the Eagles rallied from a 14-0 deficit to tie it, Ross took the ensuing kickoff the distance. Ross ran into a crowd, came out of the pile and sprinted down the right sideline to the end zone. Foles connected for 44 yards to Cooper, who made a twisting over-the-shoulder catch, one play before hitting DeSean Jackson in the back of the end zone for a 19-yard TD that cut it to 14-6. Detroit star Calvin Johnson passed Herman Moore for most yards receiving in franchise history on a 33-yard catch to the Eagles 13 late in the first quarter. Johnson came up with a face full of snow on the play. But Bell fumbled a few plays later at the Eagles 10 and Patrick Chung recovered. Foles connected with Brent Celek for what wouldve been a 37-yard TD pass in the final minutes, but Celek slid at the 10-yard line so the Eagles could run out the clock. NOTES: Johnson had three catches for 49 yards. ... Stafford was 10 of 25 for 148 yards. ... The Lions fumbled seven times, losing three. The Eagles fumbled only once and recovered it. ... EDMONTON -- The Calgary Stampeders went north looking for the win that would send them back home for a game that really matters. Robinson Cano Red Jersey . They got it when Jamar Walls blocked punt touchdown return proved to be the difference Friday, clinching the Stampeders a home playoff game with a 27-13 victory over the hapless Eskimos. It was the fourth win in a row for the league-leading Stampeders (13-3), who can clinch first place in the CFLs West Division with a B.C. win over Saskatchewan on Saturday. "It was a big win for this team," said Stampeders quarterback Kevin Glenn. "It was a real team effort. Those types of wins are what bring teams closer. Especially at this time of year when we know we are going to need it from everybody to get wins now." Glenn had a milestone game as he moved into the top 10 on the CFLs all-time passing yards list, eclipsing Tom Clements 39,041 yards in the first quarter. "It feels a lot better that we got it on a win," said the 34-year-old. "Just to be in that type of company and be mentioned with those guys that are in the top 10, its a blessing. "Its just hitting me right now. I have to say I am really proud of myself and would like to give myself a pat on the back." The Eskimos (3-13) lost their fourth consecutive game as they are limping through the remainder of the season having already been eliminated from playoff contention. Edmonton did not win a single game against a Western Division opponent all season and had just one victory at home, setting a new franchise low. "Its sorely disappointing," said Eskimos head coach Kavis Reed. "We arguably have the best fan base in the league and our performances at home have been inconsistent, for lack of a better term. We sorely wanted to give them a win in this last game. To only have one home victory is unpalatable. Its a bitter pill to swallow." The Calgary defence made itself known midway through the first quarter as a Mike Reilly pass bounced off of targeted receiver Adarius Bowman and into the arms of Stampeder Eric Fraser, giving them the ball at midfield. Calgary failed to score any points on the turnover, however. The Stamps came back with a 27-yard Rene Paredes field goal on their next possession to go up 3-0 heading into the second quarter. Edmonton tied the game three minutes into the second frame on a 47-yard Grant Shaw field goal that was set up by a long 48-yard passing play to Fred Stamps. Calgary went up 10-3 five minutes into the second as Glenn hit Marquay McDaniel with a pass and he was able to just edge the ball across the plain of the goal line for a 29-yard touchdown. The Stamps added a 32-yard Paredes field goal with four minutes left in the first half. Edmonton gave away seven more points with a minute-and-a-half remaining when Shaw rolled out on a third-and-20 punting situation only to have it blocked by Wall, who picked it up himself and went 19 yards for a touchdown. "I dont think it was a called fake punt," said Calgary head coach John Hufnagel. "They do that, what we call a rugby kick where he will run and if he thinks he has the opportunity to run for the first, he will do that. If not he will kick it. We were just one him too quick when he was making that decision. We watch film." The Eskimos were able to get those points back with just three seconds left in the first half as they gained a ton of ground on a pass interference call to set up a leaping seven-yard TD catch by Bowman to make it 20-10 at the half. There was no scoring in the third quarter. The Stampeders gave the scoreboard operators something to do again early in the fourth quarter as Paredes nailed his third field goal of the contest. Edmonton countered with a Shaw field goal six minutes into the fourth to make it 23-13. Calgary added a punt single before the Eskimos came back with a long drive down the field. Edmonton looked to inch a bit closer on a field goal attempt, but Shaw missed and hit the uprights. Paredes booted a 45-yarder for his fourth field goal of the game to close out the scoring. The Eskimos play their two remaining games on the road, starting next Friday in Vancouver against the Lions. The Stampeders return home next Saturday to face Saskatchewan. Notes: Eskimos defensive tackle Almondo Sewell remained out after suffering a neck injury in last weeks game in Regina, but is expected to make a full recoverya Calgary non-import running back Jon Cornish had his fourth straight 100-yard or better game and now has eight in total during the 2013 season. They shot 57 per cent. They held an opponent under 100 points for the first time in 12 games. And they enjoyed a rare breather for most of the second half in a 114-88 victory Monday night over the Utah Jazz. "It all came together tonight and that was really good to see," coach Larry Drew said after the Bucks most lopsided win of the season. Ersan Ilyasova scored a season-high 31 points on 13-of-14 shooting to lead five Bucks in double digits. Zaza Pachulia added 14 points, six rebounds and five assists, and the NBAs worst team improved to 12-47. Enes Kanter had career-high 27 points to lead Utah, mired by a mistake-prone third quarter in which the Bucks regularly led by at least 20. "It doesnt matter how many points I scored because it was a loss in the end," Kanter said. Hard as it is to believe these days, Milwaukee was once a force in the NBA with Abdul-Jabbar, who was drafted No. 1 overall by the Bucks in 1969. Then named Lew Alcindor, the big man with the famed sky hook was joined by fellow future Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson on a team that won the NBA title in 1971. On Monday, Abdul-Jabbar was in town to promote a tourism ad for the state of Wisconsin that played off his acting role in the movie "Airplane." He watched a game that turned into a laugher in the second half. Everything went right for the Bucks. Pachulia hit a layup in transition for an 11-point lead before guard Nate Wolters got the break going again after a Utah miss with 11:07 left in the third quarter. After a Jazz miss, Wolters rushed the ball into the lane to draw defenders before pitching back to Pachulia for an open 15-footer. "Everything started defensively. We got stops. We got rebounds and fast breaks, then Nate did a good job with the penetration," Pachulia said. Later, Ilyasova found himself open from 22 feet for another jumper and an 85-60 lead with 3:08 left in the third quarter. There have been nights this season wheen the Bucks have struggled to get to 85 for a game. http://www.authenticmarinersgear.com/robinson-cano-mariners-jersey/. But on Monday, Drews club pulled away after allowing an early 12-point lead to get erased in the second quarter. "It was really refreshing that our guys came out to start the third quarter with some energy and some juice," Drew said. "I thought the third quarter we were just really good. Ersan was just unbelievable." Ilyasova had 15 points in the third. Whether hitting wide-open shots from the perimeter or getting off-balance putbacks, he could rarely be stopped. In the fourth, precocious rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo entertained the crowd by converting a touch pass from O.J. Mayo into a dunk and a three-point play for a 108-79 lead with 6:07 left. It was a deflating outing for the Jazz, one night after they lost to the NBA-leading Pacers 94-91 in Indiana. Theyre 0-3 on the first three stops of their six-game road trip. "Its frustrating after the performance last night, the growth we showed last night. We just didnt get it back tonight," coach Tyrone Corbin said. Gordon Hayward provided some of Utahs limited highlights, finishing with 20 points. Kanter came off the bench to shoot 8 of 16 and 11 of 12 from the foul line, with 14 rebounds. Otherwise, the Jazz were overrun in Milwaukee. Milwaukee has won two of its last four, with both wins coming by at least 20 points. Still, even with Abdul-Jabbar in town for a publicized appearance, the rebuilding Bucks drew a season-low 10,222 fans. NOTES: Count Corbin as captain of the campaign to get Utah point guard Trey Burke in the conversation for the Rookie of the Year award. "Oh absolutely, absolutely. You look at his growth all year. ... You look at how this team has grown because of his play, should be factored in also," Corbin said. Burke is averaging 12.6 points and 5.4 assists. COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Dominic Oduro gave Columbus the early lead, Federico Higuain converted a penalty kick to in the second half and the Crew cruised to a 3-0 victory over the short-handed Chicago Fire on Saturday night. http://www.atleticomadridsoccer.es/hombre-guilherme-siqueira-atletico-madrid-autenticas-camiseta-15-16-nike-4-soccer-navy-away-la-liga-club-atatat.html . Oduro took a ball from Jairo Arrieta on the right side of the box in the 15th minute and fired into the far corner for his team-best 11th goal. The Fire (11-12-6) went down a man in the 29th minute when Bakary Soumare was ejected for his challenge of Arrieta just outside the penalty area. Arrieta was tackled by goalkeeper Sean Johnson in the 70th minute and Higuain converted from the spot. Bernardo Anor made it 3-0 in the 76th as the Crew (11-14-5) won their second straight. "We hit the post. We hit the crossbar. We had opportunities," Fire midfielder Jeff Larentowicz said. "Overall its just not good enough." The Crew have won three of four under interim coach Brian Bliss and are eighth with 38 points in the Eastern Conference, but are only two points behind New England for the fifth and final playoff spot. "The change in attitude is that we know we can still make the playoffs," Oduro said. Chicago dropped from fifth into a tie for sixth with Philadelphia at 39 points. The Crew have four matches left, while Chicago, New England and Philadelphia have five. Oduro said getting back into the playoff hunt was more important than scoring against the club that traded him in February. "It felt good but its not our main focus," he said. Paul Stastny, John Mitchell and Matt Duchene also scored for the Avalanche, who joined the 1995 Quebec Nordiques for the best 15-game start in franchise history. Colorado (13-2) needed 29 games to earn 26 points in last years lockout shortened season. Giguere has been a big reason for Colorados turnaround. The 36-year-old goalies 5-0 record ties the franchise record for best start to a season. He came into Friday having allowed three goals in four games and posted two shutouts, so allowing two goals in a 3 mnute, 39 second span seemed out of character. "You are not going to be perfect every time," Giguere said. Mike Cammalleri had two goals and Mikael Backlund had two assists for Calgary, which has dropped seven of nine. Goalie Karri Ramo made 23 saves for the Flames. Early, it looked like Colorado would cruise against the struggling Flames. The Avalanche were up 2-0 after Stastny scored on a 5-on-3 1:09 into the second period, but Cammalleri kept Calgary close. He scored his first goal on a pass from Backlund early in the second, and 2:30 after Mitchell restored Colorados two-goal lead, he beat Giguere again to make it 3-2 midway through the second period. It wasnt enough to overcome another slow beginning. "I thought it was the start again. I dont know what it is," Cammalleri said. "It seems like were in kind of a little bit wait-and-see and then we spot them two or three and it makes it hard." Cammalleri nearly got the hat trick on an 2-on-1 rush late in the period but Giguere made the save. "Hes a capable goaltender. Hes going to make his saves," Cammalleri said. Duchene iced it with an empty-netter in the final seconds. It was his 11th goal of the season. "I think after the first period we might have taken them lightly," Duchene said. "We dominated the first period. The second and third I thought they were skating downhill." Colorado survived to rebound after a tough loss to Nashville on Thursday. "This was a big game for us. After going 12-1, you lose a game, it would be easy to go into bad habits and lose some," Giguere said. "We ended up getting a big win. We should be happy with this one." The Flames are searching for answers after another tough loss. They started the season 4-2-2 but have earned just four points in their last nine games. "We had some real bad turnovers that ended up in our net," Calgary coach Bob Hartley said. "This league, its not a feel-good league. Moral victories do not exist, you need to put points on the board." The Avalanche scored first when OReilly one-timed a pass from P.A. Parenteau just 5:31 into the game. LOS ANGELES, Calif. cheap nfl jerseys . - Former NFL safety Darren Sharper pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges that he drugged and raped two women he met at a West Hollywood night club, while the emergence of a new accuser in Florida left him under investigation in five states. Lawyers for Sharper, who played in the NFL from 1997 to 2010 primarily with the Green Bay Packers, said they would prove that any sexual contact Sharper engaged in was welcomed. "All of these were consensual contact between Mr. Sharper and women who wanted to be in his company," said attorney Leonard Levine. But a prosecutor pointed out the many investigations against Sharper in places including Tucson, Ariz., Las Vegas and New Orleans, and asked a judge for $10 million bail. The judge rejected that as excessive, though increased it from $200,000 to $1 million. "The court considers these crimes quite serious and has to protect the public," Superior Court Judge Renee Korn said. Sharper, wearing a grey suit and black t-shirt, came to court with his lawyers and a bail bondsman who immediately arranged to post his bail. The judge ordered Sharper to remain in Los Angeles, stay away from nightclubs and not be alone with any woman he did not know before October, when the first allegations emerged. The judge set a court date for April 15 to schedule a preliminary hearing. Korn rejected a bid by defence attorney Blair Berk to shut down the release of information in the case. "Were asking to litigate this in a court of law, not by Twitter feed and entertainment shows," said Berk. The latest allegations surfaced in a Miami Beach police report released Thursday. It was filed Jan. 19 — more than a year after the alleged attack. No charges have been filed but Detective Vivian Hernandez said the investigation remains open. The report states that the accuser and two friends went to a club in the fall of 2012 and met Sharper and another man. All five left the club at approximately 4 a.m. and Sharper drove them all to his condo. The victim admitted to being extremely intoxicated. The victims two friends told her the next day that she went into a bedroom with Sharper and he closed the door behind them. The friends said they heard her telling Sharper "No, no. Stop, I dont want to." They began knocking on the door, entered the room and attempted to take the victim home. The victim cant remember what she said except that she wanted to sleep. The victim said she awoke around 9 a.m. to find her pants off and Sharper having sex with her. She said she asked "whats going on" and Sharper got up and put on a pair of shorts. Sharper told her they didnt have sex. He then walked her to her car in a parking garage. The victim said she went to be examined a week later. She made the police report after a friend saw that Sharper was arrested for sexual battery. If convicted in the California case, Sharper could face more than 30 years in state prison. Sharper was selected All-Pro six times and chosen for the Pro Bowl five times. The Earthquakes second victory in 15 road games this season moved them within three points of a playoff spot with four games remaining in the Major League Soccer regular season. "It was a big win for sure," San Jose coach Mark Watson said. "We knew we maybe had to be perfect, and win the rest of our games. I thought the effort and the commitment the players put in was fantastic." Real Salt Lake, which had won this seasons previous two meetings by shutout, got a goal from Javier Morales in the 19th minute. It was his eighth of the season and came during a flurry of scoring on an otherwise quiet night at the goal. Real Salt Lake remained tied for second place behind Seattle in the chase for the Supporters Shield, awarded to top team in the regular season. Still, it missed an opportunity to capitalize on a struggling Earthquakes team that won the Shield a season ago. Lenhart began the goal spurt when he headed in a cross from Cordell Cato in the 18th minute. After Morales equalizer, Lenhart beat goalkeeper Nick Rimanndo with another header, this time off a free kick from Shea Salinas. cheap jerseys from china. "I think he heads the ball harder than I shoot it," Salinas said of Lenhart, who recorded the sixth career multi-goal game of his career. "Its pretty impressive." Lenhart entered the night with two goals in 17 games and hadnt scored since July 27 against Portland. The forward followed each goal with an animated celebration that included a leap into the air and fist pump toward a section of the announced crowd of 20,504 - the fourth-largest in Rio Tinto Stadium history. Lenhart left to a chorus of boos when he was replaced at the beginning of stoppage time. San Jose, which ranks 16th in the league in scoring, tallied more than one goal for just the second time in seven games. Morales goal came on a corner kick from Kyle Beckerman. Salt Lake, which played without injured leading scorer Javier Morales (calf), had its three-game home winning streak snapped. Salt Lake tested the Earthquakes defence in the second half, but repeatedly failed to connect on crossing passes into the goal box. Robbie Findley and Chris Wingert each narrowly missed on shots that went wide left in the final 20 minutes. Boston has much bigger goals. Lackey pitched a two-hit complete game, Stephen Drew hit a two-run homer and the Red Sox beat Baltimore 3-1 on Thursday night to complete an impressive turnaround from last seasons last place-finish. The win ensured Boston at least a wild-card berth and lowered its magic number to one for clinching the AL East. A year ago, under Bobby valentine, the Red Sox finished 69-93 record -- their worst since 1965. "Weve still got some other goals ahead of us," Lackey said. "Hopefully, here in the next night or two we can get a party going." Earlier in the day, the Los Angeles Dodgers became the first team to earn a playoff berth when they clinched the NL West. Just before Adam Jones game-ending flyout to right, the crowd chanted, "Lackey! Lackey!" And after Daniel Nava caught the ball, catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia embraced Lackey in front of the mound as Red Sox players came out of the dugout and lined up for their usual, low-key postgame handshakes. "The next step is a more important one than this," said manager John Farrell, who has led Bostons turnaround after one disastrous year under Bobby Valentine. "Winning the East, thats been the stated goal since day one of spring training. Thats getting closer and I think that will probably be a little bit more the realization of where weve come from and where we are at that moment." Lackeys resurgence has been just as remarkable. He had a 6.41 ERA in 2011 while pitching with arm trouble, then missed all last season following ligament replacement surgery on his right elbow. Hes just 10-12 this season but has had the least run support among Boston starters. On Thursday, he lowered his ERA to 3.44. "The remake of John Lackey, both physically and getting back on the mound and performing as hes done all year, mirrors that of this team," Farrell said. "Its soomewhat fitting that to clinch a spot to get into the playoffs is with him on the mound and to go nine innings the way he did, like I said, very fitting. Nike Roshe One Mujer. " Lackey held the Orioles hitless until Jones homered with one out in the seventh, his 32nd this season. The right-hander allowed a one-out single to J.J. Hardy in the eighth, struck out eight and walked two in his 16th career complete game. "Theres definitely some satisfaction for sure," he said, "Just with the injury and other stuff, to get back to the playoffs and get back to the way I can pitch has been fun." Baltimore is two games behind in the AL wild-card race after winning two of the three games in the series. "Who cares about this getting two out of three?" Jones said. "At this point in time, winning the series means nothing. We need wins. Good job getting the series if this was June, but its September. We need wins." Chris Tillman (16-7) gave up three runs and seven hits in seven innings with eight strikeouts and two walks. "Thats the way these games go at the end of the season," he said. "Youve got to be on top of it from the get-go all the way through. I made some mistakes and they made me pay." Boston scored all its runs in the second on Drews homer, his 13th of the year, and Dustin Pedroias RBI single. The Red Sox have led the AL East since after play on Aug. 25 and entered Thursday having topped the AL East in 46 of the previous 49 days. Lackey made it 47 out of 50. "As far as fastball command, keeping the ball down in the zone throughout the game, yeah, that was probably his best game" of the year, Saltalamacchia said. NOTES: Pedroia extended his hitting streak to nine games. ... Baltimore opens a four-game series on Friday at Tampa Bay with Jason Hammel (7-8) pitching for the Orioles against David Price (8-8). ... The Red Sox send Jon Lester (14-8) to the mound against Esmil Rogers (5-7) in the opener of their last home series of the regular season, three games against Toronto.
